Shelley Megathlin
Meet Shelley
Shelley is passionate about supporting adults and teens as they navigate life's challenges and work toward greater emotional well-being and self-understanding. Her approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person's unique story and situation.
Shelley works with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. She draws from evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, person-centered approaches and Gottman for couples. She aims to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions and struggles without judgement. She has a functional and holistic outlook and will help you to identify the underlying causes of issues, and then create a plan to work toward improved mental health and wellness. Shelley is honored to be a part of each client's journey toward growth and resilience.
Shelley was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida and has been married for over 20 years with two adult children. So she understands the ups and downs life brings in all stages. Shelley holds a B.S. degree in Psychology and is currently working towards licensure in Mental Health Counseling after completing her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University. At Jupiter Community Counseling, we are thrilled to have her as part of our team, as she is an exceptional intern, offering a high level of service at a lower rate.
